Train Ticket (55fiction)

 March 15, 2012     55     62 comments

By seeing a group of kids playing toy train.
*Grandfather with his very old memoirs, “We travelled for meager 5 Rs in train”.
*Father continued, “In those days, Train tickets were very cheap like 5 RS”.*Annoyed grandson, “You duffers, even now the cost hasn’t changed, I attend my college by paying the same price".

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

What really happened?
Our Deputy prime minister MAMATA banNERJI (since she has a BAN in her name, she bans almost all proposed bills) says she will not accept a hike in price, why is she worried ? she may travel either by flight or by train, which government will take care of.
DID ANY SINGLE POLITICIAN, traveled in UNRESERVED ? or in SLEEPER CLASS ?
NO, because they are not much convenient.

No railway minister will spend his own money to revolutionize an ill fated train, all that he need is money and some brain to keep the wheels on track.
Indian railways with its enormous working force, still struggling to succeed the odds, why ? do we lack human resource ? certainly no. we lack BRAIN and we lack COURAGE and we lack some fine politicians. I thought that Rail minister would give some speech on irctct site, which is top runner for WORLD'S WORST site, nearest rival is UPSC site :D

10 years ago, price of 1 KG tomato ?
Now, price of 1kg tomato? compare it without laughing....

Every year new staffs are inducted and retired persons were given pension, money comes from tree ? or from plant ?
I just wonder, how ignorant these leaders are, all you consider is the vote bank(note not even the Swiss bank)

Now Mamata Bannerji, makes JOKE. this is a drama by congress, i wonder whether should we laugh or cry?
Already railways are going pretty fast on a wrong track and on a wrong direction.
when a minister takes a bold step, YOU FEAR FOR VOTE BUT NOT FOR INFRASTRUCTURE ?

You and me will not have any problem, ticket price will not rise, but we will be traveling in train like FLINTSTONES CAR.(propelled by our legs)
Then our Mamata BANerjee will point out as, "This is an excellent drama by Satyajit ray".

what an audacity to make a mockery of the system - Mamta does that very well and so are a few horde of politicians dooming the country for their vested interests ! The moot point is what are we gonna do about it ?

    bro nice post,
i traveled daily for my college from UJJAIN to INDORE , one side jounrney 80KM and i travels daily with train,
in my view increase in train fare is good, condition of railway is not very good but also not very bad. from last 2 years of my college i traveled in lot of trains and it seems railway need money, i also know some railway officials who says that their salary doesnot come on time.
do you know from UJJAIN to INDORE 80km ticket cost is just 13RS.
and in Indore my college is 8 km far away from railway station and city bus charges 7rs per ticket.
condition of railway is good, yes it needs more improvement and for this it needs money.
sorry if i talk more on this post.

it rains in trains for the politicians for sure(rem the lalu's era). They know how to make profits from the most unpredictable things!
Mamta or any other politician for that matter has no mamta for their people or anybody elese!

Unfortunately,I belong to the state which she represents and my house comes under the constituency(South Calcutta) that took her to the Lok Sabha for the last decade or so,but whenever I hear about these blunders, it pains me to the core.In spite of taking the oath to make our country better she has done the opposite everytime with her populistic decisions. Its time the people of Bengal understand what price they are paying to bring someone to power who needs a serious sanity check!

Well said Deepak... How many would mind paying a little extra for greater security and other facilities? One of the news channels were showing that a tkt from Delhi to Kolkata has now increased by 80 Rs or so (not the exact fig). But, in reality, how many people travel from Delhi to Kolkata 'daily'?

The bottomline is that they dont give a **** for Aam admi. They only want the votes so that they can fill their coffers at the cost of the Common man!!!

Cant agree more with IRCTC site. The worst site in the world... I feel I've wasted half my lifetime trying to book tickets through it!

While Mamta is impractical on the fare hike issue, Congress also fished in the troubled waters by delaying the removal of Dinesh Trivedi. Similarly Pranbda presented a status quo budget- no major kike in IT exemption limit when inflation is going up. So part of the criticism against Mamta is motivated by media.
