I Wish I Was Born A Girl !

 February 06, 2012     weird     79 comments

First of all, apologies if i have not read your recent post or if i haven't voted it... I was pretty busy in doing NOTHING, so couldn't catch up with the pace of Indivine :P

As Post tile says, i wish i was born a girl :P :P :P
Smiling ? Laughing ? Nothing :( OK go ahead enjoy(try to) these bunch of scraps !
Few days back my father's friend brought an invitation to our home, it was a marriage invitation for his daughter... i knew her in my childhood she is just 1 or 2 years elder to me and i was shocked to hear that she is getting married(don't take it a bad way:P)

What there to shock... is that you ask ? well, she has just completed her studies, not working and sitting at home, but it seems that GROOM works at Microsoft,USA...
For a moment i imagined, instead of being a guy and suffering to find a job and to finish the studies, how nice if i were a girl ? :P :P

I usually develop such weird thoughts..
And i believe a coin has multiple sides, so there are obviously some disadvantages and advantages exists in every position but only the level differs..

I will try my best to list the advantages and disadvantages of being a women(though i am not) i will try to put on my observation..
Like the film, VANTAGE point, i will try to add multiple views here

The So Called Benefits:

1) Class Teacher will not scold us for our absence, we can say that our PET PUPPY died...
if we cry that's the last nail in the emotional coffin of our teachers.
No punishments for girls either...
2) After seeing the mark sheet(says 99/100), we can cry for the 1 mark that we missed, all teachers and girls will come and console us and will say rest in peace 1 mark.
3) In college :) 5 guys will escort us to the class and another 5 guys will buy us some snacks and another 5 guys will recharge our mobile...
4) A smile over the professor will score great marks in INTERNALS !
5) Arrears ? not a matter.. some US green card holder will be eyeing for her, so degree doesn't matter, no job and no interviews.. but can fly to USA :(
6) Even if we hit at some guy's bike. accidentally or intentionally.... POLICE will screw that guy not the girl(experience)...

The So called Problems:

1) Tough to come out of womb, few professional killers will kill us before our birth.. sad but true !
2) Pedophiles will chase us all the way and flesh traffickers :( sob sob !
3) Very few Perverted teachers, professors, neighbors will torture physically :(
4) Eve teasing and crimes against women are bit higher in our country..
5) Dowry trouble and some monster in law trouble :( despite of that Maternal deaths are high here...

Recent surveys called India as MOST UNSAFE PLACE for women, very shameful and India has high maternal death cases and still there are crimes against women in higher rate, funny part is UPA(ruling Party) chief is a women and President is a women and DELHI NCR which is highly unsafe for women is under the control of women chief minister...
Whatever the facts says, in my view.. Born as a girl in Rich or Upper middle class family will be a heaven..
On the other hand, there are some advantages as well...

At end of the day, every position has got it's own advantages and disadvantages, instead of worrying about the past and regretting, its better to live with what we are and what we have:P
I can feel that i am contradict myself :)
Still my heart is heard for my childhood friend's turning point and i have heart burn, what a life for her SOB SOB ! Sob Sob !
Why no women who works at States are not marrying a guy who has no degree and no job :(
Women's should change and get empowered ! :P

P;S- Just for laughs ! no intention of hurting anyone alive or dead...

One thing you forgot to mention. If you are a girl you will also get a lot more votes on Indivine and whole lot of comments. Same on FB. :P

firstly...u can say just a coincidence but my reactions to your post when I started reading it was like "nothing"...

ummm...I've never thought of being a girl, but I hate them for the same reasons you mentioned almost every time when I come across something like that...being an engineering student...21years old...I can understand your situation exactly... :P

anyways...since the past few days the problems you highlighted are getting the hot topic of discussion at almost every corner of India...hope this problem get solved... :O

    loved the post... :)

Hey...You seem to be in a weird mood these days!

Regarding your post, I wanna give my perspectives too!

    Adv of being a girl:-

    1. Teachers will scold you for absence(But that depends on the institution). If you are a seasoned liar, you can evade scoldings or punishments. And to lie, you don't have to be a girl. Being human will do :)

    2. True, it happens :)

3 & 4. I have no idea about that as I'm not studying in a co-ed now. But at school, guys were helpful :)

    5. No, it's not the case always. You have to look good, and you need to be a lil studious and smart too. Beauty without brains will never get any attention.

    6. I guess that's true to some extent :)

    Disadv of being a girl:

All of them are true, but that also depends on the people and place where you live.

It really doesn't matter if you are a girl or a guy. We are humans, and that is more than enough to achieve anything in this world :)

There was a time when women were of the weaker sex but times are changing. It is like a pendulum; from one end it goes to the other before it slowly settles down at the centre. So, as a reaction to being a weaker sex, we would witness women not just becoming equal but enjoying the advantage bestowed on them by sympathy. Hence, these days, for example, the cases of reverse dowry are on the increase. Recently, the courts have observed that men also need to be protected aginst ill treatment by the women. However, ultimately, we would have some sort of stable equality. Until then, as Akshay Kumar G said above, they would get more comments, likes etc on facebook and blog. Let them enjoy it as long as it lasts

LOL! Great post Deepak! I was laughing all along!! :)I think Monster in law reminds me , you should watch the movie! You should see how a girl can skillfully manage to put up with her loathsome monster-in-law :D So...women are empowering/empowered.:)

What can I say.Being a girl is like a princess on planet magic land only if we treat her right! :)

Dude.. times seem to be really changing.. Most of my lecturers hate girls.. i hav a professor who tells us on our faces that girls are dumb and not worth spending time on! Humph? There is a lady teacher who will start teaching, once she is done flirting with the guys. They get free attendance AND free marks.. n yes.. she gets home made sweets for them! My first year of engineering in a workshop, begun with ideas that the attenders and boys help! Boys helped by complaining that girls shouldn't be given help. We would be stuck doing carpentry, while they jeered at us and left! :P Lots more... So u see, equality doesn't really favour JUST the girls.. haha..

Hehehe! Nice post Kartik Jhi :).
First of all thanks for promptly commenting on all my posts :).

I agree with each and every point you said in this post.
But, Let me ask you one question?

[Hopes this doesnt happen]If that guy leaves her, then she would be left with NOTHING. So yeah, even if you are a girl studies are important. You need to be Independent and know how to lead your own life all alone. Just imagine a guy leaving you after you have kids. The responsibility of kids also falls on you right? So yeah, being a girl is really not easy as you think.
If you ask me, I always wished to be a guy :P aah! Lucky fellows you people are :P. yeah! There are disadvantages but lesser than what girls have :P ;). But, I still love being a girl :).

I have nothing against this post btw :P.
    Awesome writing ;).
    Keep your thoughts running :D.

    Advantages:
    #4, I agree with. 100%
#6, I am a girl. Police men find a better target in girls. we always end up paying more.

And the problems you've listed out for girls are way bigger than the trouble guys take to so called recharge girls' phones.

Well in that case, I wish I was born a boy... I wouldn't have to get married so soon,I could ride bikes and do wheeling,I could go for night outs and come home whenever I pleased, Could become a casonova and woo all the pretty girls, Would never have to worry about over-powering emotions coz as a guy crying like a girl is the last thing you'd do!!.... I can go on like this but you got my point right :P
Nice post and happy to read it :)
