Do you know Who reads your blog truthfully and are you sure all appreciations are authentic one ???? I'm not sure.. Plz go ahead with the rest..
I have been blogging actively for past two months though what i blog may look useless for few and rarely useful for very few, i have observed something which i have not observed like ever before, i have a bad habit of judging people with their traits prejudice ? whatever you may call it as,, many a times they are wrong.. though i judge people and make some opinion about them, i won't disclose it in public, we can be outspoken person but to highlight that i believe we should not heart hearts.

As i said, Am blogging actively for few months, Most of the times i blog about things which really makes an impact and crater deep inside and i will try to express them in words, to be honest whatever stylish hi-fi words you use you can really extract the feel that you have, words are just 90% of your feel on what you blog.. i think i am deviating..
Yeah, i have blogged things which really made an impact on me and all that i expect will be some truthful readers, readers i meant here are not people who comes online to read our blogs, most of the readers perhaps all the readers are bloggers but most of the bloggers are not readers.. :( just ask ourselves, are all the bloggers are true readers ?
Definitely maybe, Not the film i am talking about, as far as people i have seen and spoke, authenticity in appreciating a talent is too feeble, Bloggers are much talented people or at least average talented people, what do we expect is " More people should read us ".. but we fail to ask " Are we reading a single person's blog truthfully ? "
After my presence on Indiblogger,Blogjunta,Writeupcafe,Bloggers... There are so many talented brains and each site has their own kind of promotions, Like votes, promotion,Like etc etc.. What people do is perhaps what most people do is " JUST PROMOTE THEM "....
Fame blinds the Fact !
To be honest, i wont promote a blog which i never read, whenever a blog impresses me i will make a comment as a token of appreciation, whenever i post a topic i wont expect vote or promotions, though i do expect votes and whatever you may call, but all that i expect most would be few TRUE COMMENTS, scold me or appreciate me or prove me that am wrong, but make an impression in my blog to prove that you have read my post.. Suppose if you feel my post doesn't deserve your comment, you can hold your head up and move... No wrong in that..
From now on, at least now on never be a blind promoter, just call a spade as spade...
True comments will revolutionize a person's skills who knows he can be a writer in future, may be for films or for journals, that time you can proudly say " i have given some tips to this writer and i know him "...
there are two kinds kartik: people who read and people who promote...there are few who read and promote. In Indiblogger we find some people who blindly promote without even reading the post. I have seen that happen to some of my posts. I had posted and in 10 sec i had three promotes and it was a long post, which need more than the 10 secs. But there are def people who read, and wait for your next post and these are the people we write for...
ReplyDeleteBlogging is a hobby for most of us so we should keep it like that. I agree with how you feel and i understand the feeling.
nice post deepak. i almost completed one post exactly on similar lines. u just deprived me of that post count hahahahaha. i totally agree with you. although no one will read and follow your posts, it's something that doesn't feel good. just because someone has a bigger network shouldn't always have his or her post highlighted. whereas i have seen some wonderful posts on indiblogger and blogjunta hardly read by anyone. forget about other blog directories which i don't have any high regards for.
ReplyDeleteI believe that most of the people here on the blogosphere are writers but not readers.
ReplyDeleteThey wish to express themselves but are not much bothered about what the other person expresses.
However, this is how it is and we are no-one to say that they are right or wrong.
A great post, bringing up something that is true and in one way or the other, needs to be thought over.
"Call spade a spade"-That's true. Your post is truthful to the core and written in a very straight forward manner.

ReplyDeleteSincere comments are true appreciations/criticism..But why worry about what others do when you write for your satisfaction. Atleast I do. The first time i participated in a competition was for that 'hair' thing, and coincidence, but I spend ample time in indiblogger reading/commenting and promoting posts..Result was evident..U promote a post and they promote urs...Am not saying that I got a lot votes, but looks like thats how people are taking it I guess.Leave it..People are different..If you like writing, write. But you make a lot of sense. Not all bloggers are true readers
ReplyDeleteThank you all for your precious comments.. Just shared my views and you people shared yours and few maintained MounaViratham :)
ReplyDeleteA NICE POST KARTHIK.
ReplyDeleteit is a point to be re checked by all of us.
I personally dont promote things which I am not impressed with. but I do promote the others bloggers posts who mpromote mine. because Indi blogger is designed that way.

You have raised good points, people don't have patience to read all blogs. But every one should promote blogging and give moral support to bloggers by voting, number of active bloggers are very less, when compared to internet users. This trend should be replaced,I'm not finding fault with any body.
ReplyDeleteHeyy Deepak.. Well written. Honest and to the point. A true comment even if it is a critique would be more beneficial than an unread like or promotion.
ReplyDeleteOn a completely different note: I liked your "About me" section. "Nothing much about me; an ordinary human". Quite unique. :)
Thank you Raj :)
ReplyDeletehi deepak, I think u write for yourself,So no need to make a verdict about ,what the others are thinking...
ReplyDeleteWell said Deepak... The same thing happens with every blogger.
ReplyDeleteIt's like talking to a tree which have life but doesn't respond to what you wanna say?
What is the use of 100 page hits on a post if there is not a single reaction on it..
Nice post, Deepak. And truly said! We do need genuine readers who could appreciate/critisize for the good of the bloggers and blogging.
ReplyDeleteBut as some of them have already pointed out, it is ultimately one's own satisfaction that matters the most. Write for yourself with all your heart and write what ispires or cheers you the most! Don't forget to be Happy:)))
this is a great point u've made dude. there is a clear case of back scratching for sure. there is a also a case of being polite and reciprocating. whether good writers are also good readers, i dont think so either.
ReplyDeletei havent been here too long, a tad more than u may be...but in some time we do figure out true appreciation, dont we? however, its the critics who are hard to come by n comment...may be not to come in bad books? im yet to fig tat out...
cheers,
My Third Eye
Just a random promotion click means nothing. But having read this I am certainly going to promote your post.
ReplyDeleteNicely written blog
You know, I joined indiblogger long ago, but every post I'd make, it'd get buried inside indivine because of low votes. i'm no pg wodehouse or jk rowling, but i think i write decently well, and it dejected me a lot, especially when i found out that certain bloggers got their new posts pushed to the top almost in no time. talk about popularity eh? it's pure coincidence that i ran into your post, and i thank you for taking the time to make this post, really, kudos to you :)
ReplyDeletecan i ask a favour? i have a post which i desperately want to be read by other bloggers, a magnum opus if you will. if you have time, can you read it? i'd be most grateful :)

I too observed this. Because when I wrote something in Kannada, people who do not know Kannada promoted it!

ReplyDeleteTo 'really' appreciate someone who is in the same field as yours (i.e. blogging) is afterall not so rare. Maybe, sometime it does not interest the reader. But then s/he should not promote it ... this idea of promotion is little funny at times!!
ReplyDeleteA genuine blogger blogs because he wants to say something, not for self promotion!
ReplyDeleteA nobel thought buddy. Sadly, as we grow old, the black or our retinas convolute the white of our eyeballs to show us different shades of grey. Knowingly, or, unknowingly!Aye Zindagi!
ReplyDeletei make sure whatever i read i must make a comment on that blog .. to appreciate the effort!!!
ReplyDeleteit was worth sharing!!!
regards
rahul
Read the post and won't promote it on any network - honest! But this one I like.. and hence the comment. Keep writing.
ReplyDeleteWell its very true and m glad that you wrote this post, at last we blog for our readers isn't it... :)
ReplyDeleteGood one. I am new to blogging and newer to indi-blogger. I was very reluctant to join a place where voting is done but it seemed like that was the way to go - to find readers. Frankly sometimes I wonder - I feel it comes against the creativity and if I may say promotes the feeling of greed inside us. Comments are certainly a better form of appreciation.
ReplyDeleteHey Deepak!
ReplyDeleteThanks for dropping in @ Random Thoughts! And more so for your comments! I have noticed that very few people leave feedback after reading a blog.
And I liked what you wrote about voting without reading.. I write because I find it pleasing and when the readers of my blog share my feelings, then I feel that I have succeeded as a writer. I dont expect them to agree with all that I have written, but I do expect a genuine feedback... So, Thanks a lot for taking time and putting the good words in....
And, welcome to my small group of fellow travelers... good to have you on board!!
Hey. Everyone is in a hurry, so not everyone reads every word of a blog. It's the way the world has evolved. www.ministryofreilly.com
ReplyDeleteLess than a month ago i started using indiblogger as a way to connect with more bloggers, In this age of TRP following its the viewership that has taken a toll over readership, it was disappointing to see the blogging community has also fallen prey to it. keeping aside the disappointments, I discovered some good blogs and like to read them sometime :).
